Christmas Shopping at RFBI Leeton Masonic Village23 Nov 2018
RFBI Leeton Masonic Village was excited to host its first ever Market Day on Friday 16 November. This great idea shared to us by Narelle Weymouth from Leeton Community Op Shop gave our residents the perfect opportunity to shop for Christmas presents without having to travel far.
Thanks to all the wonderful items donated by St Peters Anglican Church Op Shop, Leeton Community Op Shop, Woolworths and the Golden Apple (SUPA IGA), it was truly an exciting experience for our residents to have a market with stalls set up within the Village. They were delighted by all the generosity our stall holders gave and were thrilled to receive such treats.
“It was lovely to see our resident’s faces light up as they chat and jokes with stall holders.” commented Joanne Edwards, Lifestyle Officer.
The staff at Leeton Masonic Village organized a morning tea and ceremony to hand out a Certificate of Appreciation to each participant that made this day so much fun for all the residents. From clothing to jewellery, chocolates to bric-a-brac, residents got to choose the perfect present for their loved ones, some even for themselves! The Market Day brought so much joy to staff and residents; it was amazing to see everyone come together to make great things happen.
Thank you again to all our stall holders for all your generous donations and to making our first Market Day a great success!
