Music is loved by all at RFBI. Listening to some relaxing tunes in the evening or singing along to some classics during an afternoon tea has become a popular pastime for residents and staff alike.

In fact, many of the moments in our villages and our lives can be defined by music and songs.

To pay homage to those special musicians and singers that have played such important roles in our resident’s lives and continue to do so, we held a celebration for World Music Day. The day originated in France and is held on 21 June annually to celebrate musicians and encourage emerging and young musicians to demonstrate their talent.

RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village organised a themed experience and encouraged staff and residents to dress up for the occasion. Our residents loved dressing as their favourite musicians (Elvis was a popular one), playing musical instruments and singing along to some of their favourite songs throughout Happy Hour.

Our residents in Goulburn always look forward to some nibbles and a glass of wine during Happy Hour, and said that the celebration of World Music Day really topped of the experience!
