Valentine’s Day was a special occasion celebrated across RFBI Villages, with residents and staff coming together to spread love and joy. At RFBI Leeton Masonic Village, the day was marked with a special “red theme day” in the coffee shop. Residents and staff wore red – the colour that signifies love – in celebration.

Our Catering Team prepared a delicious fine dining experience for residents featuring a special menu of exquisite food and drink. The tables were adorned in red and white tablecloths and flower arrangements to create a romantic atmosphere for residents to enjoy.

The highlight of the day, however, was the celebration of love and commitment of some of the long-standing couples in the village. Judy and Neville, who have been married for almost 61 years, and Lorraine and Bob, who have been married for 50 years. What an achievement – we simply had to ask if they had any words of wisdom.

Of course the couple attribute much of their love story success to communication, being understanding and compromising to ensure a happy and healthy relationship.

The day was filled with fun, food, and festivities, and the love stories of the long-standing couples served as a reminder of the power of commitment and devotion in the building of a happy relationship.
