We are fortunate to have many team members who have worked in RFBI for many years, sharing their passion for supporting our older generation. One of those special stars is Debbie O’Shea, who is our General Manager at RFBI Moonbi Masonic Village and recently celebrated 35 years of working within our village.

A registered nurse and proud Lions Club member, Debbie started her journey with us after visiting one of our residents regularly to read to her and take her for walks around the garden as part of her children’s playgroup program.

After approaching Debbie to join the team, Debbie’s career has taken her through many roles to now oversee the village.

“I always thought the elderly pave the way for us, so we’re just paying them back and helping make sure they have a good quality of life,” Debbie shared.

“The staff and the management, it’s really one big family; they really look after us, they’re fabulous to work for and they treat us like family.”

To honour and celebrate Debbie’s tremendous contribution to the village, staff, residents and even Debbie’s first manager were invited to RFBI Moonbi Masonic Village for a special occasion.

RFBI Regional Manager, Toni Giles said Debbie is well respected in the village and community.

“People who are deeply admired like you are very few, we know that after the past 35 years of service you have selflessly given to RFBI, helped countless others and touched the lives of many,” Toni said.
