Our professional team of home carers brought residents, care at home clients, staff and the community together to help raise funds for an important cause – Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Our team hosted morning tea events in our RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village and Mount Gilead Estate to encourage everyone to come together for a good cuppa, treat and a chat, and support Cancer Council’s mission to achieve a cancer free future.

The team prepared tasty treats, including grazing platters and sweets, which were all served in a COVID-19 friendly way, with a great cuppa to match. The RFBI Hawkins Masonic Village guests together raised $140, whilst the amazing 54 attendees at our Mount Gilead Estate morning tea raised $286 towards the worthy cause.

The Biggest Morning Tea is always an important occasion on our events calendar, as many of our residents and team members have unfortunately been affected by cancer in some way. We hope that our donation will help fund research into a cure for the devastating disease.
