Since February 2023, RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village has been fostering meaningful connections between residents and the younger generation through its intergenerational library program. This heartwarming initiative has become a cherished weekly tradition, with residents eagerly anticipating Thursday afternoons.

The program provides a space for residents to engage with children and parents from the community, creating opportunities for shared experiences and mutual learning. As residents immerse themselves in the joy of storytelling and bonding with the younger participants, they find solace and companionship that transcends generations.

Residents have shared heartwarming feedback about the program, with one resident expressing how Thursday afternoons help her forget about her aches and pains, filling her with happiness and purpose. Beyond the program itself, residents have formed meaningful friendships with the parents and children, extending their connections beyond the confines of the library.

The intergenerational library program exemplifies RFBI Goulburn’s commitment to creating inclusive and enriching experiences for residents, fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit that uplifts spirits and enriches lives.
