The Glen Innes Show is always a highlight of the local calendar! This year the residents of RFBI Glen Innes Masonic Village didn’t just attend – they competed!

Held on the 14th and 15th of February, the annual show brought the community together to celebrate the best of rural life, from livestock to lifestyle. The residents were eager to get involved, entering a variety of items into the Arts, Crafts, and Produce sections.

In the Produce section, all eyes were on David, who had spent months carefully planting and tending to his tomato crop in the village gardens. His hard work and green thumb clearly paid off, with the judges awarding his tomatoes first place! It was a proud moment for David and a testament to the thriving gardening culture we have here at the village.

Over in the Pavilion, our knitters were also impressing show goers. Fran showcased her incredible skill with needles and yarn, entering the knitting section. Fran walked away with both first and second place for her beautifully crafted socks. The competition was stiff, but Fran’s attention to detail clearly stood out to the judges.

While we didn’t bring home any ribbons in the Craft section this year, the quality of the work submitted by residents was exceptional. Every entry reflected the creativity and dedication of our village community.

We would like to extend a huge thank you and a heartfelt well done to all the residents who prepared exhibits. You represent the spirit of RFBI Glen Innes Masonic Village so well and we are already looking forward to seeing what we can create (and grow!) for next year’s show.
