Art and craft activities have always been a source of immense enjoyment for residents living across our villages. Our Leisure & Lifestyle teams offer a range of creative outlets and organised activities that cater to various interests and creative types. We find residents who participate enjoy a sense of pride from their creations, enjoy the opportunity to be social with like-minded people and love to brighten the village with their creations.

Just recently residents in RFBI Berry Masonic Village participated in a creative flower-making session, where layers of coloured tissue paper, straws, and pipe cleaners came together to form exquisite blossoms. Some residents even added a personal touch by spraying perfume on their flowers, creating a fragrant reminder of their artistic achievements and leaving a beautiful smell and burst of colour in their rooms and in the dining room.

Skilled sewers within the village also sewed together some hessian material into beautiful covers for glass jar vases for the flowers. They are presented beautifully around the village for guests to enjoy.

The creativity doesn’t stop there. Our skilled residents have been engaging in a variety of art forms, from the intricate beauty of Diamond Art and the personal touch of card making, to the timeless elegance of embroidery and the vibrant world of painting, mosaics, and crepe art. The diversity of activities ensures that there’s something for everyone, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion.

These creative ventures orchestrated by our Leisure & Lifestyle team not only elevate our social gatherings but also contribute to improved hand-eye coordination and overall well-being. The sense of accomplishment that radiates from our residents’ faces as they see their creations displayed is immeasurable.
