After a year like 2020, our residents and staff were keen to make the most of the festive season. Beyond doing something new – our virtual Big Christmas Sing-A-Long that brought together aged care services, workers, residents, families and businesses from across Australia – our local villages also dialled it up a notch.

Our wonderful Leisure & Lifestyle team at RFBI Benhome Masonic Village were just one that decided Christmas 2020 needed to be a special one. They decided to throw a Christmas Pantomime in celebration of the festive season.

Residents, staff and volunteers put in a lot of time and effort to ensure they put on an amazing theatrical performance, with weeks of rehearsals leading up to the big event, and careful creation of costumes and backdrops. Beyond really bringing the festive spirit to light, it also kept residents and staff busy during a time when restrictions were in place for visiting due to COVID-19.

The Pantomime was enjoyed by everyone, with lots of laughter, cheering and sharing of Christmas food over the evening.

Thank you to all who were involved for making this such a special time of the year and finishing 2020 with a bang!
