Bellingen Girl Guides bring festive cheer to former leader3 Jan 2020
Nea Armstrong OAM, a resident at RFBI Bellingen Masonic Village and retired Brownie Leader was thrilled to receive a visit from the Bellingen Girl Guides. Nea has held prominent roles within the Girl Guides movement as well as been a member of many different community groups. Her decades of selfless service to the Bellingen Community saw her awarded the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2013.
“I love being with children and helping them grow into mature people, I think it is very important,” said Nea.
For over 50 years, generations of Bellingen Girl Guides, their Leaders and families spread some Christmas cheer to elderly members of the community and this is a visit Nea always looks forward to. To read about more activities taking place across our Village, visit https://rfbi.com.au/news-events/
