Hatching Chicks Program at Holt

It has been an exciting 2 weeks at RFBI Holt Masonic Village as they hosted their very own Hatching Chicks Program early this month. Residents, families and visitors were mesmerised by the Village’s short-term fluffy pets and enjoyed the experience as they watched the transformation process from egg to chick, with many taking the role as mother hen to the newborns.

“The baby chicks were with us for a week and during that time, we had one particular resident take it upon himself to clean their cage regularly,” commented Faye Saunders, General Manager.

“I believe the program was a positive experience for everyone and one we will definitely be repeating again without a doubt.”

One of the Village’s resident, Faye Eames, confirmed that she loved every aspect of the hatching program. “I very much enjoyed watching the little chickens hatch out of the eggs. I got a happy surprise when a different coloured chicken popped out; they were all so soft and fluffy.”
