Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village recently organised a “Mad Hatter” themed Biggest Morning Tea as part of the Cancer Council Australia annual fundraiser. It was a terrific opportunity for family members and community members to come together and raise money in support of people battling cancer.

Students from St. Johns Primary School joined in the fun and entertained residents and guests with a musical before morning tea. Everyone was delighted to see staff dressed in character and the Village main lounge decorated with items from Alice in Wonderful. Residents and guest participated in the dress up with hats to match.

“It was lovely to see the residents having such a great time, watching the children sing and dance. The laughter of the children created such a wonderful atmosphere.” says Nathan Morton, Lifestyle Supervisor.

One in two Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. This year, six (6) RFBI Villages participated in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and brought together family members and the local community for a great cause. RFBI is proud to be doing our bit to have raised over $1,000 for Cancer Council. No matter how big or small the donation is; every little bit helps.
