While winter in Armidale brings crisp, freezing days, it certainly hasn’t slowed down the vibrant social calendar at RFBI Armidale Masonic Village.

Our residents recently rugged up for an inspiring excursion to the Museum of Antiquities at the University of New England. The museum holds a special place in the region as the only regional museum in Australia dedicated exclusively to ancient history and archaeology.

Organised by our Leisure & Lifestyle team, the outing provided a fantastic opportunity for the residents to step back in time, explore ancient artifacts and learn about early civilisations.

Throughout the tour, the group was genuinely engaged, fascinated and thoroughly invested in the exhibits. Seeing ancient pottery, historical tools and rare relics sparked lively discussions among the residents, with many sharing their own insights and memories of world history.

Excursions like these are a core part of our village lifestyle, ensuring our residents maintain strong ties with the local Armidale community while enjoying an enriching, active and independent life.
