Mother’s Day is always a special occasion for our residents, volunteers, staff and the wonderful guests we have in our villages.

The mums we have living in our villages, working on our teams, who we see regularly as part of our home care services and who visit our residents inspire us all. So while we appreciate them every day, we like to do something a little special to celebrate Mother’s Day each year.

For many of our villages, that of course involves delicious food and lots of florals. Our RFBI Leeton, Holt and Raleigh Urunga Masonic Villages held a special high tea for all to enjoy, with scrumptious treats and tasty tea. We had family visits, craft projects, gifts from our village to our resident mums, and plenty of smiles.

Our RFBI Basin View Masonic Village residents were also treated to a morning tea and stopped to have their photo taken in front of the Mother’s Day display that our staff cleverly created.

Across all of our services, many of our team and residents took time to also watch a special video gifted to us by the families of our residents. The video includes Happy Mother’s Day messages from kids and grandkids of our residents, and it is always a special treat for all to watch. We’ve shared the video below so you can watch it too.
