A special bridal shower in RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village
6 Apr 2026There was romance and a little bit of bridal couture happening in RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village recently as staff and residents celebrated one of our Registered Nurses.
The village common area was transformed into a celebration of love, with decorations, sweet treats and plenty of well-wishes for the bride-to-be. The residents, who have formed a close bond with our nursing team, were thrilled to be part of such a personal and joyful milestone.
No bridal shower is complete without a bit of fun and the Kurri Kurri team took it to the next level with a fun toilet paper gown competition. Residents and staff split into teams to design and create the most elegant wedding dresses using nothing but rolls of toilet paper!
The creativity was on full display as the teams draped, folded, and pleated their way to some surprisingly stylish results. There was no shortage of laughter as the “models” paraded their one-of-a-kind gowns for the guest of honour to judge.
We wish our wonderful RN a lifetime of happiness as she prepares for her big day. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to make her shower a day to remember!
