A pint-sized delivery of Christmas Joy in Cessnock

Sonia Lim 12 Dec 2025

The festive spirit is truly alive across our villages! Our hard-working staff in RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village recently received a heartwarming surprise that lifted spirits across the whole village.

Marni, a valued member of our care staff team, visited the village on her time off, bringing along a very special assistant – her daughter, Ivy. The duo arrived on an important festive mission: to deliver homemade Christmas cookies to Marni’s colleagues who are working hard over the holiday period.

While the delicious homemade treats were gratefully received, the absolute highlight of the visit was young Ivy. She took her role very seriously, having spent time practicing her very best and clearest “Merry Christmas” to greet everyone individually as she handed out the cookies.

Working in aged care during the holidays is incredibly rewarding but can also be busy. Simple gestures of kindness between colleagues like this make a world of difference to our team’s morale. The smiles on the faces of staff as they received their cookies and heard Ivy’s perfectly practised greeting were wonderful to see.

We extend a huge thank you to Marni and Ivy for taking the time to spread such genuine joy and warmth throughout RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of kindness during the holiday season.
