A new chapter of regional leadership for Lisa Allen

At RFBI, our leaders bring decades of expertise, passion and genuine heart to their roles. Lisa is one of the many special individuals who helps to lead our team with care and commitment. Recently the community gathered to celebrate a special milestone for Lisa – she is stepping away from her role as General Manager at RFBI Coffs Harbour Masonic Village to begin an exciting new chapter as a Relief General Manager, supporting communities across our Northern region.

Lisa joined RFBI in November 2022 at RFBI Raleigh Urunga Masonic Village before moving into the leadership position at Coffs Harbour. She brought with her a wealth of experience gained through a remarkable nursing career spanning close to 50 years in Australia and abroad, including specialised surgical and theatre nursing roles alongside leadership positions across public and private healthcare organizations.

Reflecting on Lisa’s incredible contribution, Regional General Manager North Natalie Green shared how Lisa’s extensive healthcare journey has shaped both her professional expertise and her character.

Sometimes we reflect back and ask the question, ‘has our career defined the person that we are’. For Lisa, close to 50 years in nursing in Australia and abroad has certainly defined her not only as a nurse but more importantly it has defined her character traits as a human – caring, humble, a problem solver, a listener but more than that, as a friend to many,

Natalie shared.

Lisa originally joined RFBI because she missed the deep personal connections that define aged care and wanted to make a meaningful difference in a resident’s day. While she is stepping back from full-time village management as she prepares for retirement, RFBI is delighted that she will remain as a Relief General Manager for the North region, bringing her signature warmth and calm leadership to various villages whenever needed.

This flexible pathway highlights RFBI’s commitment to retaining top talent, supporting work-life balance for senior staff and ensuring our Residential Care Villages continue to benefit from experienced, compassionate leadership.
