A gift of comfort from Waratah Village Association
8 May 2026
At RFBI we believe every resident deserves to live with dignity and comfort. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Waratah Village Association, we have been able to take another step toward that goal.
Recently, our RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village team identified a need for an additional specialised tilt-and-recline wheelchair with a wider seat. These chairs are vital for residents who require extra support for their posture and pressure care, ensuring they can remain comfortable while staying engaged in village life.
When the Waratah Village Association heard about the need, they didn’t hesitate to step in. The Association very kindly donated the full $2,530.00 required to purchase the equipment.
Their contribution is a powerful reminder of the strength of the West Wyalong community. For our residents, this isn’t just a piece of equipment; it’s a gateway to better comfort and increased participation in social activities.
Upon the arrival of the new wheelchair we were delighted to welcome members of the Waratah Village Association to the village. It was a wonderful opportunity for our staff and residents to say a heartfelt thank you in person and show the donors exactly how their generosity is making a difference.
To the Waratah Village Association: thank you for your ongoing support and for your commitment to the wellbeing of our residents. We are so proud to be part of such a caring community.
