There is something truly special about a love that spans six decades. At RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village we were honoured to host a beautiful celebration for resident Colin George and his wife, Judith, as they marked their 60th wedding anniversary.

Surrounded by the lush greenery of the village gardens, the couple was joined by close family to reflect on a lifetime of shared milestones. Among the guests were Colin’s brother and sister-in-law, Garnet and Helen, and their daughter, Janeen.

The morning was a nostalgic journey, with the group spending hours looking at family photographs and sharing stories from the past. A particularly poignant guest in attendance was Heather – not only a cousin but also one of the original bridesmaids from Colin and Judith’s wedding day sixty years ago.

One of the most touching highlights of the celebration was found on the dessert table. Janeen shared with our staff that the original cake topper used at her parents’ wedding in 1966 was brought along for the occasion. Placed carefully behind the anniversary cake, it served as a beautiful bridge between their wedding day and this incredible 60-year milestone.

At RFBI, we believe that celebrating these personal histories is vital. It was a wonderful opportunity for the family to reflect on a lifetime of love and the many cherished moments they have built together.

We wish Colin and Judith a very happy 60th anniversary. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a significant chapter in your beautiful love story.
