Help us welcome MHERV to West Wyalong
One of the important initiatives RFBI supports is the Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) by providing the funds to have a registered nurse travel with the van throughout NSW to provide free health checks. Since this program commenced in 2017, MHERV has visited over 100 communities and provided more than 10,000 free health checks, saving countless lives.
To celebrate the arrival of the MHERV mobile men’s health clinic to West Wyalong on Wednesday 11 May, RFBI is hosting a morning tea together with the Waratah Association at Tivoli West Wyalong. There will be live music and a special welcome from Brian Monaghan, Bland Shire Mayor, Ray Smith PSM, Bland Shire Council General Manager and Ray Vickers, RFBI Ambassador.
MHERV will be providing health checks all day from 9:30am till 3:30pm. There is no appointment necessary with each check taking close to 10 minutes. There will also be a free sausage sizzle at 11:00am.
At 12:30pm, Tivoli West Wyalong will be showing a movie called ‘The Duke’. Tickets are $15/$10 concession and can be purchased directly from Tivoli.
At 6:00pm, test your knowledge and share a laugh with friends at our special Trivia Night event, presented by John Scascighini of Lodge Bland. Tickets are $15pp and can be purchased on the night at Tivoli or in advance on their website.
Come join us for a day of fun and good health and ‘Donate to help a mate’ to help us keep MHERV on the road and saving lives.
