Help us support those in need
Through its Benevolence Program and Annuities Scheme, RFBI has for over ten years, provided funds in excess of $13 million that have assisted individuals and families in time of need, provided medical equipment to support local Lodge communities and funded research and development projects across aged-care and healthcare, including the Men’s Health Educational Rural Van (MHERV) Tour, donating as much as $450,000 to the cause.
RFBI has launched a fundraiser campaign titled ‘Donate to help a Mate’ to raise money for our Benevolence Program, which supports MHERV. MHERV is a mobile, private health clinic (decked out van) that has a fully qualified male, Registered Nurse, with mental health experience who travels across NSW, for up to six months at a time, to provide free health screenings, as an early intervention solution for men’s health.
Since 2017, MHERV has provided close to 10,000 free health checks and health advice to people living in regional and rural NSW and has saved thousands of lives. To find out more about MHERV, click here.
