Competing against some of the best organizations within Government, Education and Not-For-Profit, RFBI ranked #4 in the AFR Boss Most Innovative Company List for our category. RFBI also took home the ‘Best Innovation’ Award for our category, recognizing the great care and commitment everyone right across RFBI demonstrates to ensure our residents and clients are able to live the best life possible. 2019 7th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards
RFBI was a finalist in the “Innovation of the Year – Food and Nutrition” category for our Dining with Dignity Program and was the only Australian organisation in the final 5 entries. Read more about it here.
2018 SoupedUp Hospitality & Lifestyle Aged Care Awards
Lindy Twyford, RFBI Hospitality Manager and valued staff member for 27 years took home the National Hospitality Manager Award. She was honoured for her outstanding contribution to RFBI’s catering services and ability to lead and inspire our catering teams across all 22 RFBI Residential Care Villages.
Paulette Millgate, Hospitality Officer at RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village, was named National Laundry Service Individual for the high quality laundry service she has established at this Village. Her person-centered approached to ensuring every resident gets their clothes laundered the way they like is in line with the RFBI philosophy of excellent customer service and consumer directed care.
With the introduction of 2 innovative dining aids, we have made a difference to our residents dining experience at RFBI. New crockery that includes ‘invisible’ assistance and new fashionable clothes protectors, designed to look like a scarf or lapel cover have improved our resident’s quality of life both physically and mentally. 2018 Finalist for Facility Event/Theme Day Award – RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village
As part of a positive ageing campaign, RFBI Lake Haven Masonic Village put on a successful fashion show and photoshoot during Fashion Week 2018. The purpose of this event was to celebrate their unique style and engage all residents regardless of their limitations. Read the whole story here.
