RFBI’s Board of Directors brings together a range of skills and experience within a framework of good governance to ensure the ongoing success of the organisation.

David Adams - Chairman

Jill Pretty - Deputy Chairman

Jill Pretty is a Registered Nurse, who holds a degree in Nursing Management, a Master in Nursing (Aged and Palliative Care) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. 

Jill is an experienced aged care practitioner having held the position of Director of Nursing t McQuoin Park, Mercy Family Centre for 12 years before joining Aged and Community Services Australia, NSW and ACT (ACSA) as Manager of Policy and Consultancy before being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in 2008.

As well as being an RFBI Board Director, Jill is a consultant to the industry delivering aged care training and advises on clinical and management issues. 

Jill is a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing and the Australian Association of Gerontology. She is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Peter Ditzell - Director

Peter Lazar AM - Director

Peter Lazar is the Founder and Chairman of Professional Public Relations Pty. Ltd. He has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, PR and Health Education.

Peter sat on the Advocacy Committee of the Australian Dental Association, was a lecturer at Together for Humanity, Councillor Friends of the Sydney International Piano Competition and Director of Dental Health Australia. 

Peter is also the author of “So you want to be in PR?”, edited “It’s No Secret; Real Men Wear Aprons” and is a Member of The Schools Lodge and an officer of the Grand Lodge.

Alan Farrell - Director

Alan Farrell is a Chartered Builder and has extensive experience in the building industry. Throughout his long career he has worked as a building practitioner, executive manager of a large building and property company and university lecturer in building and architecture. He is a life member of the Australian Institute of Building and was awarded the Institute’s Chapter Medal in 1973.

Alan became a Freemason in 1958 and currently holds the rank of Past Deputy Grand Master. He is a Past Chairman of the Board of Management of the United Grand Lodge of NSW and ACT and in 2005 was awarded the Carrington Medal of Honour for services to Freemasonry.

Roland Keller - Director

Peter Mackinnon OAM - Director

Peter Mackinnon has been a consultant to the aged care sector for over 33 years and is the Principal of Peter K Mackinnon & Associates, providing operational, financial and management advice and assistance to residential aged care operators. 

 He is a Director of multiple aged care providers and is a member of ACSA’s (NSW & ACT) Workforce, Financial Issues and Residential Care Advisory Committees. 

Roger Eaton - Director

Roger Eaton is the former Global Chief Executive Officer of KFC Division at Yum! Brands Inc. Prior to joining Yum! Brands Inc. he was Chief Operating Officer of Hoyts Cinemas Australia Limited and President of Hoyts USA Limited.

Roger has vast experience in global retail brand management, operations and finance. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Natal, Durban in South Africa and is also a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Bryan Gray - Director

Bryan Gray is a recently retired, experienced financial accountant with over 30 years in operating in Senior Management roles of large financial institutions. 

Bryan started his career as an accountant with Deloitte in New Zealand and was the Head of Sales in State Street before becoming Managing Director in Sales and Client Manager (Investor Services) at J.P. Morgan. 

Bryan is the only person to have been chair of the Australian Custodial Services Association twice, in two separate stints. He has a wealth of knowledge in risk management and financial investment. He also has a passion for mentoring young talent and actively participates in volunteering efforts.
