Volunteering

Why do RFBI need volunteers?

At the Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution, we are proud to continue our tradition of providing care and assistance to those in need. Sadly, in recent years we are finding that the number of people requiring that care and assistance is rapidly increasing, side by side with the growth in the ageing population.

Volunteering in aged care facilities is the chance to both give and to gain. Inasmuch as you will be giving your time to the community that cares for you; you will also have the opportunity to spend time with some truly extraordinary Australians, and learn a little more about life in Australia for those from a previous generation.

As a charitable, not for profit organisation, we are pleased to offer volunteering opportunities to enthusiastic, proactive individuals. A range of positions are available across our aged care facilities, as well as in our independent living, self care and community services programs.

To find out about volunteering opportunities near you, please contact your nearest aged care facility, call our Head Office, on (02) 8031 3200 or email us on admin@rfbi.com.au.
