In February 2017, home care package licenses are moving from providers to consumers, allowing approved home care package customers the freedom to choose their aged care provider. But what will this mean for you?
If you are an existing home care customer this need not impact you at all. You will still be able to receive the same care and services you are currently getting, from the same home care provider. The license will simply move from your provider to you.
For new home care customers, who start receiving services after the change over, packages will be automatically assigned to them (assuming one is available) and they will be free to choose their preferred home care provider to deliver services.
