RFBI Leeton Masonic Village and RFBI Leeton Masonic Retirement Village is conveniently located close to shops and transport.
RFBI Leeton Masonic Village is a residential care village offering all levels of care, including a secure area and specialised services for those living with dementia.
Our co-located retirement village is a small and beautifully appointed village made up of ten 2 bedroom independent living units designed to meet the needs of active retirees.
Services and amenities available to residents include:
– close to local shops and transport
– hairdressing salon within residential care village
– onsite shop
– medical consultation room
– number of beautiful landscaped garden areas
In 2008, building works started on a Residential Care hostel, providing 50 beds for low and high care residents. Red Gum House, a dementia specific unit, offers 26 of these beds.
Dr. Gregory Levensten MD. JP. officially named the Residential Care hostel Alf Herrmann Lodge at the foundation laying ceremony in 2009 and was opened in 2010 by Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO., Governor of New South Wales. The first residents moved into the facility in early 2010.
Albert Trembath Villas
Our ten Independent Living units all offer: two bedrooms, a separate bathroom, toilet, laundry, kitchen/dining living area and an attached lock up garage. Our villas are well spaced, providing privacy, with established trees and low maintenance gardens. They also offer verandas, with lovely views, and access to a shared central outdoor gazebo and barbeque area.
The surrounds offer good security with grounds lighting and quality security in all our villas. All the villas are built on a single level with access via ramps, not steps. There is direct access to the villas from the Village road.
Alf Herrmann Lodge
Our Residential Care accommodation incorporates en suite bathrooms and individual reverse cycle air-conditioning units in all rooms. There are sitting rooms to be found in each wing, with activities taking part in the dining areas in both the hostel and dementia unit. Throughout the hostel, all common areas are air-conditioned.
All catering is onsite, with main meals served in the large dining room. Our menu changes seasonally, and we welcome resident input. Visitors are also able to enjoy a meal with residents should they wish, at a minimal charge.
Leeton Masonic Village also provides an onsite hairdressing salon, with a visiting hairdresser providing a weekly service for all residents. We also have a coffee shop, run by local volunteers.
As of the 1st July 2014, new residents have greater choice on how to pay for their accommodation costs. These choices include;
- Residents can choose to pay for accommodation by a refundable deposit (RAD) paid as a lump sum,
- A daily payment (DAP), or
- A combination of both
A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically (e.g. fortnightly). A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments. As RFBI offers a variety of accommodation options and prices we encourage you and your family to discuss your needs with a financial adviser to ensure that you are receiving the best financial outcome available to you.
Our published Accommodation Payment prices are our maximum rates and will apply for those with adequate financial means.
Residents with limited assets may be treated as “supported” by the Department of Social Services. This means that you will not be required to pay the published Accommodation Payment. If you are not treated as “supported”, but affordability is still a factor, be assured this will not necessarily affect your eligibility for accommodation.
The Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) amounts quoted above are current as of today and may change (in line with interest rate adjustments) for entry dates after the 1st July. When there are changes to the interest rate RFBI will update the new DAP’s based on the new quarterly interest rate.
