RFBI Coffs Harbour Village is a modern and inviting village located close to shops and local amenities.

The Village provides all levels of care and includes a secure area with gardens for those living with dementia.

All rooms are single with ensuite and generously proportioned. Residents have access to a range of communal areas and beautiful landscaped gardens. Within each wing residents can also enjoy a smaller lounge room and private entertainment areas.

RFBI Coffs Harbour Masonic Village is proud to offer residents quality meals prepared by our own professional Chefs onsite. Menus are changed seasonally and developed with residents tastes and preferences in mind.

In 1988, local Masons approached the RFBI with the view of establishing a local Masonic Village. Following this, in 1989 a local committee was formed and along with the RFBI planning commenced immediately with on site preparations, plans, and eventual building activities.

In 1990, the first 30 Independent Living units, together with a Village Hall, were completed and officially opened by Mr. Matt. Singleton, Member for Coffs Harbour.

The original nine bed Residential Care hostel was officially opened by the RT. WOR. BRO Frank M Jeffree OAM. P.D.G &M. in 1991. The Hostel was extended by a further nine beds, four years later.

In 2001 a further 20 units were added, and the Village hall was extended, to cater for the increase in residents.

Late 2002 saw the completion of a new 60 bed residential care village. This village was officially opened in 2003 by the Honourable Julie Bishop, then Minister for Ageing.

At Coffs Harbour Masonic Village, we offer  65 residential care beds, a separate 13-bed respite centre, and 50 retirement living units.

Our residential care accommodation incorporates en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and ducted air conditioning. All our common areas are air-conditioned. We provide lounge rooms in each wing. Catering is on site, with main meals served in our large dining room. The menu changes seasonally, and we welcome residents’ input. Visitors are also able to enjoy a meal with residents should they wish, at a minimal charge.

The Village also includes 50 retirement living units, each with two double bedrooms with built in wardrobes. There are both upstairs and downstairs units, across four blocks, with secure entry to each block. There are also two single story villas. All the residential care  units have lock-up single garages, an attached laundry and a vital call system.

Our quiet and peaceful surrounds offer maintained gardens and spacious grounds, incorporating a village hall and BBQ area.

Payment options

As of the 1st July 2014, new residents have greater choice on how to pay for their accommodation costs. These choices include;

  1. Residents can choose to pay for accommodation by a refundable deposit (RAD) paid as a lump sum,
  2. A daily payment (DAP), or
  3. A combination of both

A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically (e.g. fortnightly). A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments. As RFBI offers a variety of accommodation options and prices we encourage you and your family to discuss your needs with a financial adviser to ensure that you are receiving the best financial outcome available to you.

Our published Accommodation Payment prices are our maximum rates and will apply for those with adequate financial means.

Residents with limited assets may be treated as “supported” by the Department of Social Services. This means that you will not be required to pay the published Accommodation Payment. If you are not treated as “supported”, but affordability is still a factor, be assured this will not necessarily affect your eligibility for accommodation.

The Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) amounts quoted above are current as of today and may change (in line with interest rate adjustments) for entry dates after the 1st July. When there are changes to the interest rate RFBI will update the new DAP’s based on the new quarterly interest rate.
