1. Have an aged care assessment by contacting My Aged Care on 1800 200 422
Anyone who wishes to access residential aged care services must have an aged care assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). To find your nearest ACAT and arrange an appointment you can call 1800 200 422 or alternatively we can request an assessment on your behalf.
We also strongly encourage you to complete your Asset and Income Assessment. The Asset and Income Assessment form is available on the Department of Health website or on request at any RFBI Village.
2. Select RFBI as your preferred provider or come and visit us with your client code
During your assessment, your aged care assessor will work with you to determine which aged care services are most appropriate for you and ask how you would like to be referred to your preferred provider. If you are already familiar with your preferred RFBI Masonic Village, you can ask your assessor to send a direct referral to us. Alternatively, you are able to take your client code and visit us.
3. Come and meet the management team
Choosing the right residential aged care village for you or your loved one is very important. If you haven’t yet visited your local RFBI Masonic Village, we strongly encourage you to do so.
During your visit you will be given a tour of the Village and have an opportunity to meet the management team and some of the staff who will be caring for you, or your loved one. During your visit we will also be able to confirm if we are able to provide the care you, or your loved, one needs.
4. Identify your move in date
Once you have visited the Village and we have confirmed that we can meet your care needs, we will discuss with you a move in date.
5. Move in
We want your move in to our Village to go as smoothly as possible. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a staff member who will assist you to move into your room and make it your own.
